We only collect the information we need to answer your enquiries and arrange your stay, and we treat it with care.

1. Introduction

Tenerife SunLife ("we", "us", "our") offers holiday accommodation in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have.

By using this website, contacting us or submitting a booking request, you agree to the practices described here.

"Tenerife SunLife" is a commercial brand name, not a legal entity. The data controller responsible for your personal data is:

  • Operator: Pavlína Kupcová, individual self-employed person (autónoma)
  • Address: C/ Las Jarcias, Urb. La Goleta 41, Galeón de Adeje, 38670 Tenerife, Spain
  • NIF/NIE (tax and identification number): X-2340308-N
  • Email: tenerifesunlife@seznam.cz

2. What personal data we collect

We collect only data you give us yourself. We do not buy data or build profiles.

  • Identification data: your first and last name.
  • Contact data: email address and, optionally, a phone number.
  • Stay details: property, arrival and departure dates, number of adults and children.
  • Message content: anything you write in a contact or booking message.
  • Technical data: basic request data such as the time of submission, needed to prevent abuse and spam.

We do not knowingly collect special categories of data (such as health data), and we ask you not to include such information in your messages.

3. Contact form data

When you send the contact form we process your name, email address, optional phone number, the type of enquiry and your message. This data is not stored in a database on this website; it is delivered by email to our own mailbox so we can reply. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where the enquiry concerns a stay, the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.

4. Booking and enquiry information

When you submit a booking request we process your contact details together with the property, your dates and the number of guests. We use this to check availability, confirm or decline the request and prepare your stay. Your request is not stored in a database on this website; it is delivered to us by email. Confirmed bookings are managed in the Smoobu reservation system. The legal basis is the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before a contract is concluded.

A booking request is not a confirmed reservation until we confirm it in writing.

5. How we use personal data

  • To answer enquiries and provide the information you ask for.
  • To process, confirm, change or cancel booking requests.
  • To send transactional emails relating to your enquiry or stay.
  • To keep records required for accounting and tax purposes.
  • To protect the website against spam, abuse and fraudulent bookings.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making, and we do not send marketing emails.

6. Email communication

Emails we send are transactional: a confirmation that your enquiry has arrived, notifications about the status of a booking request, and our own replies. Confirmation emails state that we aim to reply within 24 hours. Emails are delivered through our email delivery provider from our sending domain.

We do not send newsletters or marketing emails. The only emails you may receive from us are the transactional emails described above, sent when necessary in connection with your enquiry or booking. If we ever introduce marketing emails in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your separate consent first, together with a clear way to unsubscribe at any time.

7. Data storage and security

Contact and booking data submitted through this website is not stored in a database. It is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections and delivered by email to the owner of Tenerife SunLife, and bookings are managed in the Smoobu reservation system. Access is limited to the owner and, where strictly necessary, technical administrators.

We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer. In particular:

  • Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: we keep enquiry data for 12 months after our last communication with you. After that, the data is deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is legally justified.
  • Booking and accounting records: accounting documents (such as invoices and receipts for completed stays) are kept for the retention periods applicable under Spanish law. Different records are subject to different retention periods, so no single fixed period applies to all records. Personal data connected with a stay that is not part of an accounting document is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy.
  • Legal claims: where it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, we may keep the relevant personal data for as long as necessary for that purpose.

Once your personal data is no longer needed and no legal obligation requires us to keep it, we delete it or anonymise it.

8. Third-party services

We share data only with service providers who help us run the website and our bookings, and only to the extent needed:

  • Cloudflare (website hosting and Turnstile bot protection, which checks that a form is submitted by a person).
  • Resend (email delivery of enquiry notifications and confirmations).
  • Smoobu (reservation system in which bookings are managed).
  • Exchange rate service, used to convert displayed prices; no personal data is sent.
  • Map provider, used to display the location of our properties.

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data if required by law or to establish or defend legal claims.

Online payments are not processed through this website at the moment. When online payment processing is added in the future, the payment provider will be listed here before it goes live.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate data corrected;
  • have your data deleted, where no legal obligation requires us to keep it;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • receive your data in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
  • lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

We respond to requests without undue delay and within one month at the latest.

10. Contacting us about your data

For any question or request relating to your personal data, write to tenerifesunlife@seznam.cz with the subject "Privacy request". Please tell us which data your request concerns so we can identify it.
